Dear FamOly,

This was a big week for our Seniors because today, May 1st was their Decision Day, which means that students had to declare what college/university they are going to attend in the fall. Leading up to this is always a super stressful time for any student (and their parents!!) so let's all take a collective sigh of relief and check that box off! 

It was also a good reason to CELEBRATE our Class of 2026 – so the Career Center threw a party during both lunches today! Whatever your pathway is next year, we celebrated that today! College? University? Gap Year? Apprenticeship? Military? Undecided? We don’t care – we just want to congratulate you and cheer you on -- and remind you that we have a few more weeks to finish strong!

Below you'll find a special request for Teacher Appreciation Week!  We really are fortunate to have some of the very best teachers and I often tell them that they never just know how much their actions are shaping the lives of their students. I am honored to work alongside them and am so thankful they shared their love for learning with my six kids!

Intercity Transit Update

Intercity Transit is getting an UPDATE!

On May 3, Intercity Transit is getting even better! 

Look forward to more frequent buses, faster travel times, service to new areas, and more direct travel. To learn more about the upcoming service change, see the new route maps and schedules, and more, visit https://www.intercitytransit.com/bus-system-redesign! More tools and information will be shared as they are finalized—including a trip planner, which will let you plan trips that take place after May 3, making it easier to see how the new system will work for you.

Seniors!

Hey Seniors: Have you been involved in OHS clubs, activities, or sports all four years of high school? Did you take a lot of AP and CiHS classes? If so, you may be eligible for the "OLY Scholar Award"! Please read the attached document, and, if you qualify, fill out the form and submit it to Mrs. Violette no later than Friday, May 8.

Senior Parents:
Grad Night Chaperones – We can’t do this without you! (Literally)
We still need adult chaperones. Full and partial shifts available! This is a mission critical need - we can’t do senior night without sufficient chaperones. Email olybearsenior@gmail.com for more information.

Car Wash Tickets. 
We have $10 car wash tickets to the Wave! Help us raise funds for Grad Night and do some spring cleaning too! Buy some for your seniors or your friends!
 

Upcoming Dates to Remember:

PROM! The Musical show runs 5/7-5/16, Thursdays-Saturdays at 7pm in the PAC.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and our Community Connections features local and national mental health resources.
